DEPARTURE OF THE WAIMEA.

The New Zealand Shipping Company's handsome little barque, the Waimea, fully laden for London, went to sea early this morning, clearing the North Head in tow, shortly after daylight. Captain Pottinger takes his vessel away on her long voyage in fine trim. One passenger left for Home by the Waimea. The barque's cargo is a varied and valuable one, including a large number of lines of colonial produce, as detailed elsewhere. Considerable shipments of kauri gum, dressed flax, wool, tallow, copra, cotton, pearlshell, hides, manganese, etc., form the principal items in her cargo for the Old Country. The entire freight comprises some 1,700 tons of cargo.
