Thames, this day. The ca^e of William Hosking, a miner, vthe Caledonian G.M. Company, being a claim for £377 damages in consequence of injuries alleged to have been sustained by the complainant in March last, owing to neglectonthepartofthedefendantCompany, came on for hearing at the Warden's Court to-day. Considerable interest is taken in the case, as it is the first of the kind that has been heard under the Mining Act, 18S6. Mr Purchas appeared for the complainant and Mr Miller for the defendant. The case is proceeding and will last all clay.
