THE CEREMONIES,
New York, April 30.
The centennial ceremonies to-day were commemorative of the inauguration of Washington on April 30th, 1789, to the office of President Mr Depewdelivered a spiendid openair oration, in the course of which he said that the prosperity of the States surpassed the wildest creations of romancers, and asserted that it would be a menace to mankind if the virtues and intelligence of the people were not sufficient to sternly prevent abuses.
