The Bowling Carnival inter-provincial matches were to have been brought to a close yesterday, but at the smoke concor_ .last night a number of Wellington and AVari-2-anui players decided to remain to play against Auckland and New Plymouth. The Northern team consists of Edwards, Thompson, Nowrnan, Paul, Patterson, McUermott, Craigmill, Morcy, . ealc, Wright. Payne, Oliphant, Davis, Herron, Stohr, Kings well. Southern team: Scoullar, Leatham, Laird, Patterson, Cordoza> Purnell,G_ay,McKerrow Ballinger, Barrand, Tanse, Downcs, Rod well, Young, Mccda*. ian, Grombie.
The game, which is for 31 up is now going on, and at the finish of 16 the head .coroa stood, North 51, South 51.
New Plymouth, 2.15 p.m
The bowling carnival. North against South, resulted in a victory for the North. Scores: North, 116; South, 91. The game was well contested throughout. The Southern bowlers lcavo for home by this afternoon's train.
