SUDDEN DEATH AT WAIHI.

Te Aeoha, this day; Mus Alice Hatton, a widow fifty years of age, living with her grown-up sons ab Waihi, died rather suddenly after only a few hours' illness on Friday afternoon. Dr. Kilgour, the Thames coroner, being unable to attend, insbrucbed Constable Mibchell, of Paeroa, to geb a Justice of tho Peace to hold an inquest. The inquest was . held by.-. Mr^.llotb, J.P., of Te Aroha, ab the residence of deceased on Sunday morning, The jury unanimously returned a verdict of death from natural causes. Deceased told a friend who nursed her that she attributed the illness to getting a severe wetting on the day previous, and neglecting to change her clothes. Very severe cramps in the stomach, etc., set in, and deceased
sank very rapidly. Deceased was buried in Paeroa Cemetery on Sunday afternoon, Rev. Father Keogh officiating.
