TlMAfctr, this clay. Jas. Bell, alias Wills, who was committed for trial last week on charge of stealing four bags of wool from the New Zealand aud Australian Company's Pareora estate, was to-day sentenced to 3 months' hard labour for stealing 1 bag of wool value 30s from the same Company's Level's estate. He was offering it to auction when Detective Jtfeill arrested him on the previous charge. A second charge of stealing eleven skins from some persons unknown was withdrawn. The prisoner had only ju&t completed two years' imprisonment at Dunedin for stealing wool.
