The second daj''s racing in connection with the Auckland Racing Club Spring Meeting was to have taken place at Ellerslie to day, but owing to the inclemency of the weatljer,' the stewards this morning decided to postpone the gathering from day to day until Saturday next, The A. R.O. rule of racing on the matter reads :• —" The stewards, in case of urgent necessity, may from time, to time put off any races from day to day, or for such time as they may deem expedient, notwithstanding a Sunday intervening."
