Slio anchored in the offing at 3 a.m., five miles out, and when the tug went to fetch her in, her anchors fouled, and it took all day to clear them, so that she was only got in at 7 p.m. Port Chalmeus, November I.— Sailed : S.s. Tarawem, for Melbourne. Bluff, this day.—The s.s. Tarawera arrived at 8 a.m. to-day from the North. The s.s. Kakanui, from Dunedin to Riverton, pub in for shelter on Wednesday night, and sailed again this morning. Sydney, November I.—Arrived: The Rio, schooner, from Napier.
Newcastle, November I.—Sailed : The barques Notero and Grecian Bend, for Auckland.
Melbourne, November 1. — Arrived : The barque Othelio, from Invercargill; tho brig Peerless and the barque Cabarfeidh, from Kaipara. Sailed : Tho barque Bankeland, for Wellington; and the schooner St. Hilda, for Greymouth. Brisbane, November I.— Arrived : The brigantine Linda Weber, from Auckland. Sailed : The schooner Orpheus, for Auckland ; and the barque Coromandel, for New Zealand.
Townsville, November I.—Sailed : The brigantine Seabird, for New Zealand.
