DEPARTURE OF H.M.S. DIAMOND.
During this week IT. M.s. Diamond was flying the "homeward bound " pennant, as a token that she was proceeding Home, her commission on the Australasian station having: expired. The Diamond is relieved by H.M'.s. Royallist, which has arrived at Albany (W.A.). A lar^e numb' v of people were assembled on the various wharves yesterday afternoon to see the man-o'-war take her departure. About half-past one anchor was weighed, and the ship proceeded down the liMrLuiu uudci.1 cixh'j tfU&ra. Sho rouuded the North Head about X o'clock, bound (via Capetown) for Portsmouth, where the crew will be paid oi£ Both rhe oSicers and crew, prior to their departure, expressed themselves as deeply gratified by the kindness shown them during their stay in port. We wish the Diamond a speedy and pleasant passage home.
