NORTH NEW ZEALAND WOOLLEN COMPANY.
The liquidators appointed by the shareholders of the North New Zealand Woollen Company received only two tenders in response to their invitation for purchase o 1* the Company's plant, stock and business, and the sums offered being insufficient they have been declined. The liquidators wilj not disclose the names of the tenderers, fof the reason that this might interfe~e with further negotiations. They are still open to dispose of the property by private, contract, and inquiries have already beenreceived from two or three probable purchasers. In the meantime the Company's mill is, kept running as hard as it can rug by the liquidators, and more work has been turned out since the firsb of the month bhan has, ever been turned out before in the same time. During that period some £750 worth of goods has been sent away, and this is entirely. in^ dependent of the local demand. This i* no doubt very encouraging, and makes ii all the more desirable that the property should if possible be disposed of in such a, manner that the mill and the benefit de; rived from ib should nob be removed fronj Auckland. •
