ATHLETIC NOTES.
AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

CiißisTcntTßCH, Friday. The second annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held here to-night. Thefollowing Clubs were represented :—Canterbury and South Canterbury Clubs, Dunedin, Southland, and Hawko's Bay. Mr Thomas Teschemader, of Otaio, was elected president, and Mr L. A. Cuff, Secretary and Treasurer. The New Zealand Amateur Championship events for the coming season were arranged to be competed for as follows: —Mile and 100 yards, at Napier; mile walking and 250 yards, at Chriatchurch ; quarter-mile and long jump, at Titnaru ; two miles and high jump, at JDunedin ; 120 hurdles and halfmile, at lnvercargill. A number of records made during last year were accepted and passed, and some rules of the Association amended.
