THE DISMASTED BRIG RESTLESS.

The brig Restless, from Sydney, timber laden, reached Hobson Bay. • This is the dismasted vessel which was sighted by the Iberia on Friday last, 13 miles from the Heads. She had a very heavy passage. She left Sydney on June 18th, and on the evening of the 20th violent squalls were encountered, the sea making clean breaches over her. A portion of the deck cargo was washed overboard. On the 21 sb all hands were pumping to keep tho water down. Next day the water gained 18in., and on the 23rd it was 2ft. in the hold.and the vessel was lying like a log, and evidently settling down. It was agreed that all hands should attempt to save the vessel by cutting away the masts, which was done. Tho weather then improved, but the water continued to gain till the 24th, when there was Bfb. in the hold. After that the water gradually decreased, till on the 28th the pumps Bucked.
