AUCKLAND POULTRY, PIGEON AND CANARY ASSOCIATION.
The regular monthly meeting of the Committee of the above Association took place ab W. J. Hurst and Co.'s office on Tuesday evening, when there was a large attend. ance. The": President, A. 0. Grainger, Esq., occupied the chair. The principal business was the final revision of the schedule and the appointmenb of a secretary vice Mr Morpebh, who has resigned through pressure of business. All the new varieties of fowls lately introduced have been placed on the schedule, which is a very complete one, and is now being printed at the Star, and will be ready for distribution to-morrow, copies being obtainable from Hurst and Co., the Secretary or any of bhe Commibtee. Entries close wibh the Secretary on July 2nd. After several other matters were discussed, the appointment of the Secretary was left with Mr A. 0. Grainger, Mr T. Stephens, and Mr Thos. Phillips, who met on Wednesday, and finally decided on Mr E. S. V. Mowbray ; and from Mr Mowbray's well-known ability, the choice is a wise one, as a more hardworking and painstaking gentleman ib will be difficulb bo find, and we are sure nothing on his part will be lefb undone bo make the show a success. Stamps of the_ Society's medals wore on view at the meeting. The members were well pleased wibh bheir appearance, and they will shortly be ready for distribution to the successful winners. Sub-committees were appointed to_ carry out several details in connection with the Show, and from the general tone evinced at the meeting, the coming Show promises to be a very successful one, as applications for schedules are coming in from all parts of the colony.
