Thkre has been a large amount of excite, raent hore to-day over reports of further disagreements in tho Cabinet, arid that one of tho Ministers has tendered his rcaigna. fc ion. Tho roport was so circumstantial as to state that, tho Minister who had resolved upon withdrawing was the Hon. E. Mitchelson,'Minister for Public Work and Native Allah's. 1 have scon Mr Mitcholson, who denies that he has sent in his resignation. He stated, however, that at ono time he contemplated taking that course, but the necessity for doing so had been averted. 1 infer thut the trouble way over the Protective duties proposed in tin; new tariU', and tho fact of Mr Mitcholson having cairied his point is proved by the Govern inent proposals.
