JUNIOR CUP. Grafton v. Ponsonby. -Tho former failed to put a team in the field, so the blue and blacks claim the match. Gordon v. Waitkmata.—Gordon had all the best of tho match, and eventually won by five points to nil. Jems, Clarkson and Smart scored tries, and P. Lusk kicked a wonderful goal from one of them. North Shore v. University.—The 'Varsity only put 13 players into the held, against the local men's full complement. Their forwards, however, played splendidly, and for a long time it looked as if the visitors would win. In the first few minutes Cook made a grand dribble, and the forwards backing him up, the ball was carried • across the Shore line, and Brabant secured ! a try. In the 3econd spell, Sullivan, i Trayes, and Farquhar obtained tries, and I the former kicked a goal from his. the ! .match thus resulted in a win for the bhore ;(_y 5 points to 1. , Selwyn v. Hovers.-This match resulted ;, in a win for Selwyn by 3 points to nil. McDonald, Green, and Kectlcy each scored a try for Selwyn, but no goals were.kicked. OTHER MATCHES. "Waitemata 11. v. Standard.—Standard won by a try to nil, obtained by Brown. Albany a. Britannia. — The former had slightly the best of a drawn game. Imperial v. Grafton lll.—This match resulted in a win for Imperial by 3 points to nil. In the first spell L. Hill pottod a splendid goal from the field. Britomart v. Silver-reef.—The Britomart won by 6 points to nil. The tries were obtained by Powell, 2 ; Donovon, 1 ; Sergeant, 1; and a goal was kicked by Gillespie. . Tuakau v. All Saints'.—Tho All Saints Athletic Club journeyed to Tuakau on Saturday, and put the local men through to tho tune of 11 points to nil. Mnckie scored 6 tries ; Masefield, 1 ; Seccombe, 1; and D. Stewart, 1 ; while Masefield converted one of them into a goal. CYCLING. The handicap road race on Saturday resulted in a very hollow win for Grange, by a minute off'the next man, Hammond. Seven competitors.-wore-sent away from Panmure by the starter, Mr H. H. Hayr. The roads being very heavy, tlio times were not very good. The following is the order in which the men finished:— Grange (5?,-min start), Slirs 58min 30sec ; Hammond (4min), 3hrs 59min 30sco ; McCallum (3min), 4hrs lmin ; Giark (scr), 4hrs lmin 25sec ; Spencer (4knin), 4hrs 2min 50 see ; Buchanan (lAmin), 4hrs 2min 55sec ; Walker (3_min), 4hrs Bmin.
