Thames, this day. A heavy rainfall took place on Saturday, which caused a freshet in tho Hikutaia River, and a large number of logs were brought down. About 1,000 moro were landed at Kiri Kiri. MR McKENZIE. Mr McKenzie, late manager of the Alburnia mine, left for Adelaide to-day, taking with him eight miners. FIRE. A haysfa^k, containing about 70 tonsi was destroyed by lire at Puriri last nightIt belonged to Mr Poter Maxwell, and was insured in bhe Victoria Office for £150. A LUNATIC. James Fibzpatrick, a lunatic, was taken to Auckland to day.
