This well-sustained attraction is almost entirely due .to the fascinating powers exercused by the two stars. . . • It is almost impossible to find words to convey the impression produced by the acting of the two leading characters, Signor and Signora Majel'oni; Perhaps the best definition -would be to say that they do not act. . . Just as tlie dreamer never suspects he is dreaming, so the auditor in the moment of spellbound attraction never suspects that he is looking at two peoj)le who are only playing their respective parts."
