ABBOTT'S OPERA HOUSE.
" The Old ConroßAL " was repeated last night with renewed manifestations of unbounded satisfaction. The applause wa 8 very cordial, and at the close of the fourth act all the principals were called before the curtain. In addition to the roles which were mentioned yesterday Mr Musgrave's Pierre Frochard, Miss Maude Appleton's Genevievc, Mrs Gordon's delineation of Genevieve's mother, and Mr Jewett's General Roquebert merit favourable notice. They were all very creditably sustained. "Camille" To-night. This dramatisation of Dumas's celebrated novel should certainly draw a crowded house to-night, more especially as it will not be repeated. It is one of the Majeronis' strongest pieces, and of their appearance in it in Melbourne the " Age ,, said : — " From the opening to the close of the performance of 'Camille' the attention of the audience was encliained, the interest never flagging. This well-sustained attraction is almost entirely due .to the fascinating powers exercused by the two stars. . . • It is almost impossible to find words to convey the impression produced by the acting of the two leading characters, Signor and Signora Majel'oni; Perhaps the best definition -would be to say that they do not act. . . Just as tlie dreamer never suspects he is dreaming, so the auditor in the moment of spellbound attraction never suspects that he is looking at two peoj)le who are only playing their respective parts." The dresses, too, worn by Signora Majeroni are reported to be exceptionally beautiful,
