PARNELL.
Tho ordinary meeting was held last evening. Present: Tho Mayor (Mr .). Winks), in the chair, and Cvh. McKon/ae, McCabe, McConnell, Gay, Lyell, McLachlan, Gilmour, and Savage. CiiAJUTAKi.K Aid.—Mr McCabe was appointed a dolegate to tho Charitablo Aid Board.
.St. Gkorois's Bay Drain.— Mr J. If. Mullina reported that the brick and stone work had boon completed to his satisfaction, and ho was thanked for his services.
Lawn Tennis.—The Parnell Club applied for concession in wator supply charges, which wns declined.
Stkkkvs CuM.MiTTK!:.—The report was considered and adopted. An application by Mr Hodgson for fire-extinguishing apparatus was declined, and a question of right of way, introduced by Mr Valentine, was referred to tho Council's solicitor.
St. Geoiuje'h Bay Road. —An offer was made by tho Harbour Board and accepted, to the following effect: "That the Board Mould nntiht in the making of a roadway from Mechanics' Bay to >St. George's Bay, and allow such sandstone as may bo required to be taken from St. Barnabas' Point upon termination of Hnrker's louse."
Costlev Bequest. — A letter from Mr Suiter explained his notion with reference to tho Costley bequest for Old People's Refuge at a meeting of the Charitable Aid Board, and tho letter was received.
Sundry other email matters were dealt with, and accounts amounting to £125 17s were passed for payment.
