The sale of racehorses advertised to be held on Thursday next at Mr E. Kelly's stables has been postponed until next month. The time for receiving nominations for the Auckland Guineas (1889) has been extended to Monday next, owing to the postponement of the second day's racing of the Auckland Racing Club. The following nominations have been received for the Canterbury Jockey Club Midsummer Handicap :—Fair Nell, Sultan, Artillery, Titbit, St. Clair, St. Ives, Mokoia, Maxim, Loehiel, Beresford, Enid, Russley, Regina, Hermitage, Torrent, Snapshot, Ruby, Springston, Cruchfield. The Welcome Stakes nominations will not be published until the entries made with the other metropolitan clubs are received. Sale of Blood Stock. Hermitage was sold by auction to-day to Messrs M. and C. Hobbs for 200 guineas, and Bronte, half brother to Nelson, to Mr \v. Y. Dennett for 120 guineas.
