ConRK3POKDENCi:.—Lcttera were received and dealt with as follows :--From New Zealand/lmibev Company, applying for a sixmonths' extension of lease for r #reevnan s Bay allotmentsttt current rentals. From 'I. Hendoreon, asking what steps Board purpose taking in event of present pilot boat not Being available for mail steamer Alamodar From Coal Co. asking the Board to fix a time for receiving a deputation re reduction of wharfage. From Whitaker and Russell, stating that tho Gae Company will bo satisfied with the Board's undertaking to construct within three years a road from College Road along Freeman's Bay western foreshore to bi eastwork, but that in the meantime a road sufficiently good to give acecsso to the Company's land should be made.
From John Jas. Haslara, drawing attention to his faent self-discharging silt pontoon and offering to treat for the patent rights. From John Milne (Liquidator Hokianga Sawmill Company) offering to sell some totara piles. From Auckland and North Shore Ferry Company asking leave to erect an office on Devonport Wharf and to lease a waiting-room in Auckland Ferry Tee. From T. B. Hannaford, soliciting an inspection of the Hannaford light. From J. Scolt, Dredgeniaster, ottering to accept a three years' engagement with the Board on bame terms as those of his engagement just expired; otherwise he prefers to leave in a fort - night. From Alex. Alison complaining of the danger to life and property " consequent upon tho new ferry steamer Eagle not running to the advertised timetable. . From Harbour. Board leaseholders asking the Board to obtain powers from the Governor to grant them either reduction of rent or to relieve them from their leaie*.
