Meeting of Committee.
A meeting of the committee appointed to further Air Martins's interests in the above match was held in the Lesser Hall of the Waterloo Rooms, Glasgow, recently. Mr A, McLaren (in the absence of Mr McCall, convener of committee) was called to the chair. It; was stated that numerous letters had been received from Mr Martins's supporters, ami subscriptions to tho amount of close upon £100 were intimated. The committee, in view of the fact thatthesum of £120 was required if the match is to be for £100 a-side, earnestly appeal to all admirers of Mr Martins to send in their subscriptions immediately to the treasurer, Mr Archd McLaren, 147, London-street, Glasgow, who will be happy to acknowledge them in due course. Gentlemen who have already intimated subscriptions are requested to send them on to the treasurer as soon as possible".
