Consols remain at 10 If. Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 33s 6d, and New Zealand wheat at 30s to 335, according to quality. Adelaide flour is 235. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,630,000 quarters, and for the Continent 233,000 quarters. Australian Tallow: Average quality beef, 22s 6d ; mutton, 23s 6d. New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, remains at 4d per lb.
At the wool sales yesterday 9,900 bales were offered, and to-day's catalogue comprised 7,300 bales. No improvement in demand was shown, and the market was steady, but inactive. Inferior merino wools are Hd to 2£d lower than last sale's closing rates. Washed fleece is Jd to Id lower, and medium scoured lambs 1^ to 2d lower.

The wheat market is quiet, but there is a tendency to prices hardening. Australian shipments, ex store, are quoted at 33s 6d ; for off coast cargoes no offers have been made. At the wool sales prices for better sorts were unchanged, but poor selections were neglected. The number of bales catalogued for the series is two hundred and fifty thousand, of which number thirty-four thousand were withdrawn,
