FURTHER RISE IN NEW ZEALAND STOCKS.

(REUTERS TELEGRAM.)

London, October 1. New Zealand four per cent, inscribed stock has advanced by 10s to IOOi.

The following information has been supplied to the Press Association of New Zealand regarding the rise in New Zealand inscribed stock: When the last New .Zealand loan was floated, a promise was given not to put another loan on the market until after the present month (October). The fear of this loan being brought out has kept down the price of New Zealand stock, notwithstanding that the half-yearly dividend was approaching. The arrangement made by the Colonial Treasurer to place the money in London, and so obviate the necessity of floating the loan for some .months, has already sent up the price of New Zealand stock a half per cent. It is likely to rise within the next few weeks two per cent, at least additional.
