The Totalisator. — E.P. writes : "In the last race at Onehunga on Saturday there were 462 investors in the machine ; 79 on the winner. The dividend declared was £5 4s. Ib oughb to have been £5 ss, which would have left 21s bonus over and above the commission of £46 45."
Three-card Men,—"A Victim" asks why the police do nob pub a stop to the games of the three-card men, who, he says, were allowed to ply their trade at the Onehunga racing meeting with impunity, and who now may be seen even about foobball matches and wherever there is a crowd.
