Baker-street
(To the Editor.) SiEj-rWill you kindly draw the attention of the City Council to "the disgraceful state of Baker-street. It would appear by the way they are neglecting the street that they do not re c jive any rates from tho ratepayers. Last week while a woman was going down the centre of the street she stumbled into a hole. Tho footpath is also in a disgraceful state with big stones sticking up and the want of scoria ash, which is needed very much.—Yours truly, James Ray, resident.
