NEW WAR VESSELS.

Three Important Additions to the British Navy.

Three vessels of Avar have been added to the English navy during the past week, namelyfthe steel armour-plated turret ship Sanspareil, launched at Blackball; the torpedo cruiser Raccoon, at Devonport ; and the composite ship Buzzard at Sheerness. The Sanspareil is the biggest ironclad ever launched ml -Bngfand. She is to carry two 100 - ton guns besides a powerful subsidiary armament, and Avill be capable of a speed of seventeen knots. The estimated cost of hi vessel is £825,000, but by the time she L handed over to the. Government dockyard authorities and they are allowed to Sercise their will upon her in the .shapeof alterations and i is almost certain that she will cost £1,000,000. There is now in the possession of the EnrS War Office an American repeating riflS which is said to be capable of iinng eighty shots a minute.
