A JUBILEE HYMN.

The hymn, the words of which are printed below, is the composition,of the Rev. E. H. Gulliver, M.A., who, at the request of the Incumbent of St. Paul's, wrote it specially for the occasion of the Queen's Jubilee, and sent it to Mr Nelson with the following neat JLiatin dedication :— .'.' "Ad majorem Dei gloriam atque . in usum Ecclesise Divi Pauli . haec qualiacunque. amico suo dilectissimo C.M.N. ' Dat, dicat, dedicat E.H.G." ' A jubile shall thatfftieth year he unto you. , "Jubilate "—Proudly ringing ■ Comes a voice across the sea, Bidding us, the sons of England, Join the old land's Jubileej— JUBILATK—JuBILAMUS,— ' " With according notes of glee. , '■■>■■-■ Queen and Nation closer blended - •In pur words of welcome meet, , ~ n Knit by fifty years of progress ,; r ( Seldom chequered with defeat ;— Jubilate—Jubilamus, ,; By fair field and crowded street.., , , Though at times the way seem clouded . ' 'Neath the sunless shades of night, God of Nations, guide our country Onward to the perfect Light, Crown and People ever leading In the narrow path of Right.
