Civil Sessions.

(Before His Honor Mr Justice Ward ) His Honor took his seat punctually at 10 o'clock this morning, for the purpose of hearing the case of Fred. J. Hopkins v. George Snmpter, c.aim £112 14s 9d, for commission duo on sales. —Mr W J. Napier appeared for tho plaintiff. He stated that Mr F. Earl had been engaged fer the defence. Ho was compelled to apply for a ehort adjournment on account of the absence of the principal witness, tho purser of the Arawata, that vessel not having arrived as expected.—Hia Honor decided to take the caEe at 10 o'clock on Saturday next. —The Court then adjourned.
