SyDniY, January 27. The continued heavy rains have caused floods in souio partß, and moro especially in tbo Northern districts at Kicbtnond and Grafton. Tho linesof communication having been broken the news received is meagre, but it is known that tho flood is higher than that of sixty-six by two feet. The wholo town of Grafton has boon flooded, and so far as is known, two lives were lost. Tho rain has beon incoasant, and spoiled tho anniversary holiday, but the regatta and the races wero held. The Governor was present at both, in company with his brother, recontly arrived. Mr Abigail, in nn a>Jdro«a to his coiutituonts, soys he will not relax his efforts to oxpo.«o jobbery and corruption in public life. Tho barrjuo Bankhall, which arrived yesterday from Liverpool, passed four large icebergs between January sth and 13th. Tho last was seen within five days' evil of Tasmania. The Disastrous Floods BmsIUNE, January 27. In addition to the nine persons drowned, Wall's wife atid family, It is now feared, aro lost. The Logan railway bridge, which cost £12,000, was swppt away. The Logan roso 17 feet above flood levol of 'til. A mooting has boon callod for enlisting the sympathy of tho public with tho distressed.
