ANGLO AUSTRALIAN CRICKET.

London, August 30. The Australian cricketers commenced a match today at Gravesend against the South of England. The team was composed as follows :—Patterson (Kent), W. \V. Bead (Surrey), Bowley, Lohmann, Maurice Read (Surrey), G. G. Beam, F. Hoarn, Wooton (Kent), Jesse Hide, Humphrios (3urrey), Woof (Gloucestershire). Tbo weather was fine, and thoro was a very large attendance. The Australians went in first, and remained at the wickets until the stumps were drawn for the day, when the score stood at 252 with seven wickets down, tho highest contributors being : Palmer, caught, 93 ; and Boonor, caught, 4.').
