London, August 30. Ross was leading by two lengths at Hurlingham, when ho suddenly collapsed. Tho course was from Wandsworth to Hameremith. Teemer's couri-o was from Hammersmith to Ke*-, and Beach's from Kew to Hammersmith. Off Mortlako Lee purposely fouled Beach, who continued rowing, winning easily, and without an effort. Matterson won his race with Ross by five lengths, and Teemer that with Perkins by three.
Bubear will be Beach's next opponent.
The latest betting is 100 to 00 against Beach, 5 to 2 Teenier, _ to 1 Matterson, 8 to 1 Bubear.
Perkins desires to row Matterson on Saturday,
