Thames, this day.—At tho Police Court to-day, Hugh Fannelly was charged with rescuing two goats from the public pound, and finod £5 and costs.
The Borough Council have decided to take a poll of the ratepayers as to the desirability of purchasing Waio-Karaka flat as a recreation ground for £1,250.
Tauranga, this day. —At the Police Court yesterday afternoon, William Parker, on a charge of receiving stolen goods, was sontonced to thirty days' hard labour. The same prisoner was sentenced to a further term of 30 days, on a similar charge. Snow is discernible on the ranges hore— a very rare occurrence.
