DESTRUCTIVE FIRES.

Blenheim, this day. Tub residence of Mr Young, Town Clerk of Picton, was burned down last night. A

portion of the contents was saved. Tho cause is supposed to bo tho Hume of a candle igniting a curtain. The building was insured in the Colonial Office for £150.

Another fire occurred at Clarence Bridgo yesterday morning. A contractors building and ofliees were destroyed with their contents, including books, papers, and clothing. Tho causo is unknown. They woio insured in tho Royal Ofiico for £li"0 on tho buiidings, and £100 on tho stock.
