Irish Discontent.

Another Exhibition. It is announced that an International Exhibition for the display of mining inventions and appliances, and mechanical engineering exhibits, will be opened in Newcastleon Tyne in May next; and it is ex pected that the Australian colonies will be represented at same. Anglo-Australian Postage, Mr Anderson, manager of the Orient Steamship Company, opposes the proposal mado by Mr J. Henniker rfoaton, M.P., to the effect that tenders should be invited for . slower and thereforecheaper, maileervice between Britain and the Australian colonist than was originally contemplated. Mr An, deraon urges that the colonies demand _ apeedy service, and that the modification, proposed by Mr Heaton would not be acceptable to the colonies.
