ANGLO AUSTRALIAN CRICKET.

London, May 28. The cricket match, Australians v. eleven representing Oxford University, commenced yesterday. There was a good attendance of the public, though the weather was showery. The wicket ■was heavy owing to receDt rains. The following were, the players : —University team : Messrs Brain, Buckland, Cobb, Cochrane, Hildyard, Key, Page, Glennie, Rosleigh, Thompson, Whitty. The Australians went first to the wickets', thehighest Bcores made being Jones, caught, 28; Blackhatn, run out, 15. The others collapsed, and tbe innings closed for 70. The principal bowlers for the Oxonians werte Buckland (four wickets for two runs) and Cochrane (two for two runs). Tbe Oxford team in their first innings were all disposed of for 45. The principal scores were : Page, leg before wicket, 10; Hildyard, caught, 12 ; Thompson, not out, 11. The bowling of the visitors was dead on the wicket, Spofforth took nine wickets for two_ rune. The Australians commenced their second innings, and at the close of the day's play had put together eight runs for the loss of two wickets.
