SALE OF BLOOD STOCK.

(by telegraph— own correspondent, )

Pafakura, Saturday. The sale of Mrs W. Walters's blood stock took place at her farm this morning About 250 were at the sale, the great majority of whom came by the special train which left Auckland at 10 o'clock.

With the exception of the bidding for filly by Leolinus, dam Yatterina, foaled in July, there was little competition, and bidding was vory languid. Mr Philson (of Hunter and Nolan) officiated as auctioneer.

The following are the prices realised : - Bay colt, 2yrs, by Musket, dam Venus Transit, was started at 50 guineas and was knocked down to W. Adams for 95 guineas. Bay filly, two years, by Anteros—Kosarina, was started at 50 guineas, and fell to the nod of J. Chaafe for 65 guineas. Yearling bay filly by Anteros-Hipporina, started at 30 guineas, and purchased by John Elliott, of Waitara, for 55 guineas. Yearling brown filly by HippocampusGrand Duchess, started at 20 guineas, and knocked down to R. Hunter for 60 guineas; chestnut colt, Leolinus—Venus Transit, was bought by J. French for 45 guineas ; Chestnut filly, by Leolinus — Yatterina (foaled in July), was started at 100 guineas, and after a deal of spirited bidding she was knocked down to W. Adams for 290 guineas. This was a beautiful filly, showing lots of quality and size. All of the stock submitted looked in excellent condition, and were well grown. Several half-bred yearlings and two-year-olds were also submitted, bringing from f S I.os to £3<
