DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.

Thames, this day. A fire occurred at Puriri early on Satur day morning in an outhouse belonging to Wm. Mackenzie, by which they lost about £100 worth of property. It appears that his son was in the outhouse about nine o'clock on the previous evening, when everything wa3 safe, but at four o clock in the morning the shed was found to be on fire. It is considered that a spark must have fallen from his pipe and lighted the straw on the floor, wliich smouldered for some time.
