This Morning's Training Notes.

Thore was s large assemblage on the course to witness the final gallops. A few minutes after four o'clock Clogs, accompanied by Waitiri, was tried over the Baster Handicap distance, and she acquitted herself very creditably, finishing alongside the Musket mare. Victory went fast once round, going very well. Chaafe's team wero treated to strong work on the plough, all going free and well. Tetford and Cinderella cantered round to the If mile post, where they jumped off at top. They were joined by Libeller at the bottom of the straight, who led them the remainder of the journey. Cinderella and Tetford finished together. The gallop seemed to be a good one, especially for Tetford, who had a big lot the worst of the weights. Victoria, Mystery, and Macaroni started off on a similar journey to Tetford and Cinderella's. Tho old creamy soon tailed off', the two mares finishing together, both going very well. Friendship, Tatnona, and Rosewood put in some serviceable work, the latter going in excellent style. Rivulet and Lady Norah got over six furlongs in a very taking manner; and Armourer went twice round, the last time fast. Thiß horse is looking very well. Snider went twice round alone, and seemed vory anxious to go fust. Wapiti, Guy Fawkes, Catesby, Nemesis, The Cat, Mangaohane, Miss Griffiths, Huntsman, Bewi, Whalebone, Hawthorn, and Antelope filly all did useful work.

I have heard it said that the J. B. Williamson stable have a " good thing ■' in Snider, who is engaged in the Easter Handicap with 6st. He is a five-year-old, and can claim being a full brother to the defunct Krupp and Soudan. He has been doing hia fast work in tho mornings in the dark, so that there has been no chance to guage his real capabilities, but it may be said that as a two-year old he showed lots of pace, and was credited with a great private reputation.
