This day.
Saxon.—The dropper from the No. 1 roof in the sooward drive continues to look well, and good colours of gold aro seen when breaking-down. Moanatairi.—A splendid channel of country is boing penetrated by the contractors who aro driving from the Golden Crown shaft to intersect tho Darwin reef, and excellent headway is boing mads. It is estimated that tho roef should bo to hand in another 200 ft.
Cross.—Tho No 1 reef is a promising body of quartz about 3ft wide, and somo of tho quartz ib of a kindly nature for gold. Cambria.—The intermediate drive on tlie main reef is in a distance of 15ft, and good colours of gold aro seen whon breaking down tho hanging-wall portion.
Union (Wnihi).—34 loads of quartz from this mino produced 540z 3dwts of melted gold.
