Monument to a Murderer.
The Irish Nationalists in America are about to erect in Glasnevin cemetery, Dublin, a handsome monument to Patrick O'Donnell, who shot James Carey, the chief informer inthePhoenix Park murder trials. O'Donnell was executed in London for the murder. The monument will be in the form of a Celtic cross, executed in white Sicilian marble. The totalheight will be about 13ft. .The inscription is as follows: - " Thy will be done. In memory of Patriok O'Donnell, who heroically gave up bis life for Ireland in .London, England, on the 18th December, 1883. Not team but prayers for the dead who died for Ireland. This monument was erected by ths grateful admirers of his heroism in tho United Btates of America throughout tho Irish World, and forwarded by a Ladies' Committee Of New York., Mrs F. Bryne, Mrs MiiggieHalyey.EUen A. Ford. R.1.P."
