THE ST. LOUIS MURDER
Tlio Supposed Father of the Accused.
St Louis, October 22.—Samuel Newtcn Brooks of Saybrook, England, supposed to bo tho father of Walter Lennox Maxwell, alias Brooks, who is said to havo murdered Charles Arthur Preller at the Southern Hotel and placed his body in a trunk, arrived in his city to-day. Bo comes hero to sco if the murderer is his son, and his presence lias been kopt very quiet. To-day nehadaninterview with Maxwell's attorney, and to-morrow ho will visit prisoner at the gaol.
