OPERA HOUSE.-" Extremes" To-night
For the last time "The Crushed Tragedian " was given, at tho Opera House yesternight, a,nd this evening Edmund falconer's grea.t comedy of "Extremes'1 will be produced. It derives its name from tho game of cross purposes engaged in by the numerous poor expectant relatives of a wealthy Lancashire manufacturer, who happens to be in artimlo mortis, and of course the most moritorious and loaßt likoly relative inherits the coveted property. The piny bears a strong resemblance to Lord Lytton's " Money," and in tho evolution of its plot the author Ims made uso of some highly effective broad comedy, and has contrived notable coincidence in connection with the cast is that Mrs Chippendale, Mr Wybort Reeve, and Mr Lachlan McOnwan, who sustain tho leading riilos, played together in tho same piece many years ago in Manchester. "Extremos" is deserving of a bumper "house," and we hope that desert will therefore have its fitting reward.
