Detention of tho Doric.
Mksskh L. U. Nathan and Co., agents for tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Co., are in receipt of further information respecting tlio direct steam service between London and Now Zoaland. One communication stales that tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Co. has arranged with tho Now Zealand Shipping Co. that llio Kimutaka ehall ;ako up tho Doric's trip to Auckland, with tho p;isuongera nnd cargo booked by the lattor, and leave Plymouth on the 23rd of the present month. Tho Kimutuka will make Auckland her first port of call. Tho cnuso of this .alteration from previous arrangements was an accident which happened to the propollor of tlio 8.8. Doric, and caused her to bo laid up for repairs. The Doric is to take up tho trip originally advertised for tho Coptic, and will loovo Plymouth on Sunday, .luly It!, probably to call first at a Southern port. Tho s.h. louic in to loavo Wellington for London about July-1. She is fitted with a cool chunibor, und will bo able to convoy home cheese and buttor in uny quantities under tho most; favourable ckemnstaucce. It has already boon stilled that the Aorongi in to take tho first cargo of fro/.on meat from tho Auckland works, and wo may mention that in futuro the S.S. nnd A. steamers will mako regular cnlls at. this port us they may bo roquired to receive frozen meat.
