Christchttrch, this day.—About fortyfive unemployed have accepted Government terms, and have gone to Rolleston, &c., to plant reserves.
There was little change in tho stock and sharemarket to-day. The only sales were: Hand of Friendship, 2s 6d: Buyers : Prince Imperials, 20s; Darts, 3s ; New Find, 10s.' At the fortnightly meeting of the French Literary Society on Saturday evening last; Mrs Goldstein delivered an interesting lecture on her reminiscences of Brussels, while Mr Villeval gave the first part of a comprehensive lecture upon " The Girond- ! ists." Both productions were extremely I well received. '■'
