DROWNING OF A CHILD.

Pukekohr, this day. An inquest took placo to-day at Mr Dougall's, Mangatahia Valley, on Herbert James, child of James and Fanny Keith. The coroner was Captain Jackson, and the foreman of tho jury Mr John Johnson Dougal. The witnesses were the parents and Dr. Dalziel. Tho child wondered unobserved to tho Mangatawhiri Creek, at tho crossing where tho current is rapid, and was carried into deep water. A verdict of " Found Drowned " was returned.
