East Coast Election.-There arc various ways in which a sharp lawyer oan embarrass his opponent man election, and Mr Rees has hit upon one. Ho has Hied an indictment against Mr Locke for corrupt practices, alleging that Mr Locke paid monoys outside and boyond tho exceptions authorised by the first and second schodule of the Corrupt Practices Prevention Act, such as boing an indictablo offence.
