Dunedin, this day. A Kot'U-nooMKii house at lino Hill, owned and occupied by William Johnston, carpenter, was burned down yesterday afternoon. Tho houso was insured for £250, and tho furniture for £50, in tlio .South British Ollico.
A tiro broko last night in a small cottngo which had beou on liroon Saturday evening. This time it was completely destroyed. The cottngo was occupiod by women of ill repute, and was insurod in tho Now Zealand for £150. Tho polico regard tho matter with suspicion.

A lire occurred at Pirio-strcot at ono o'clock this morning, which destroyed two cottages occupied by Messrs Hook and Durics respectively. The buildings woro owned by Mr Kershaw, of Kilbirino. The (ire occurred in tho kitchon ol Mr Hook's house, and when discovered had a good hold. Hook loses the wholo of his furniture, and Pin .os only saved a fow article.. Hook's furniture was insurod for £95 in the National Office, but Durics was uninsured. The cottagos wore insured for £100 each in tho Colonial Office.

Fire broke out at four this morninu at J_killiocom's folltnongory, Ormond. Four thousand bales of sheepskins, eight bales of pressed and scoured wool, and the building woro burned down. No cause i* assigned. Tho building was insured for £100 in tho National Office, and thoro is an epen policy on the wool in tho Union Company.
