Thames, this day. New Prince Imperial.—About 20 lbs. of specimens were again obtained yesterday afternoon from the western drive on No. 2 reef, and gold is visiblo in the part of the reef whence the stone came.

Caledonian Low Level. —Tho prospecting tunnel at the 640 feet level ia still advancing through favourable country. Another body of quartz was struck yesterday. It appears to be about 18 inches in thickness, and is composed of stone resembling in appearance the Nonpariol reef, which the manager considers should now be .it hand. The following have been banked : — Moanatairi. — Ttributors, Guthrio, 8 loads, 210?.5. 7dwts., and Roberts, 2ozs. 2dwts. Maonotia.—Tributor Acton, 2Jozs. Kckanui Hill.—Tributor Grubb, 3ozs. 12dwts. Rkuiiek Parr.—Tribute, 3ozs. 1-klwts. Caledonian. —Low level: The now reef at the 640 feet level is 4 feet in width, and composed of quartz so promising in nature that the manager intends crushing a trial parcel. Later. Caledonian.—The winze on the lied Queen leader has been sunk 100 feet below No. 2 level, and the manager has commenced cleaning out the 360 feet level with the view of driving to open tho loader at that depth. A trial crushing of five loads from the western rise above No. 2 lovel yielded 2oozs. amalgam, so that the adjoining portion of the block should bo payable.
