London, March IC—The Hon. Evelyn Ashley, Undersecretary for the Colonies, has stated that the Government will shortly appoint a High Commissioner for the Pacific, whoso duties will be altogether distinct from the Governments of Fiji or Now Zetland.

Messrs Goldsborough'H offer to cablo all colonial wool exports was aooopted by the Committee.
