Sydney, Pebpruary 22.—Sailed, yesterday afternoon : R/ngarooma, for Auckland. BRTS-!Aj.i% Fobrunry 21.— A severe gale, occonnfianied by torrents of rain, passed over Queensland to-day. Disastrous floods, causing immense -damage to property, occurred at Cool-town, whore 24 {sic) inches of rain fell within 24 hours. Shipping along tho coast also sustained severe damage from the effects of tho gale.
